CS22 and trailer for sale Currently located in St. Clair, Michigan, 48079 John Butler design, Built 1974, 7/8 Sloop Rig, LOA 21’6”, LW 17’6”, Beam 8’, Draft 2’-5’Disp. 2200lb, Ballast 1100lb, SA 212 sq ft, Stripped weight for storage 4140 pounds (trailer, hull, mast), Trailering weight 4500lb (trailer, boat, outboard, full gear). Hull and deck in above average condition for a boat of this vintage. Mast and boom are straight and in very good shape with some light areas of oxidation. The exterior teak is in good shape, but will benefit from sanding and varnishing/oiling. Interior fiberglass and teak surfaces are in near new condition. Standing and running rigging are in very good shape. Gallivant has been meticulously maintained and upgraded by a mechanical engineer. She has been an excellent boat for this couple. We sleep well in the forward v-berth and leave the dinette set-up for eating and chart work. The dinette does convert to a roomy single berth and there is an additional single pilot berth aft to port. This allows Gallivant to sleep a family of four. Gallivant has been adapted to allow raising and lowering of the mast either on the trailer or while afloat. This feature allows sailing/motoring in areas similar size sailboats can’t reach. Beautifully maintained 1980/81 CS27 - Fin Keel, Yanmar 8 diesel, complete with furler and 2 furling jibs. The main, like new was purchased within the last couple of years. The Genniker and 'snuffer' launching tube are also fairly new and look like they have not been used. Includes: two anchors, VHF, Depth Sounder, GPS, new double lifelines with pelican hooks, Saturn compass, Origo model 3000 alcohol stove, 2 batteries, shore power, 12 volt and manual bilge pumps. The Dodger had the 'glass' replaced last year. The cabin has a stainless steel Dickinson model Newport diesel-fired heater.
