As a Los Altos resident for 35 years, and current Council Member and Mayor, I understand the community values and aspirations of our residents. I am a successful executive in a growing company which I helped start. As a member of the City Council, I will work to accomplish the following: Maintain a balanced budget and replenish our emergency reserves. Expand maintenance and resurfacing of our street system. Clarify and improve building design guidelines. Improve public safety including speed enforcement in residential areas. Improve 911 emergency response system. Cooperate with schools for mutual benefit. Increase city recreational facilities. Maintain low density housing in accordance with current city vision. Improve neighborhood notification of new construction.

Using my business and city government experience, I will continue to contribute to improve the city operations. I insist on full disclosure of all expenditures, and community involvement in establishing priorities. Protecting our heritage of single family homes is a foremost objective. I will work closely with residents to solve problems and minimize the effects of new neighborhood developments.
